My name is Mike Law. I was born and raised in Utah.
My interest in photography began in the boyscouts. When I took a photography merit badge class. My first camera came from a thrift store since we were rather poor when I grew up. My mother bought me a Kodak Brownie Starflex. I used it to take the pictures for my merit badge class. Growing up in a rural part of Utah, gave me a deep appreciation of the outdoors. Camping, fishing and swimming in the river was all part of the normal life where we lived. Art was always in my blood. I was drawn to it from a very early age, so photography just kind of clicked. Music has also been very influential in my life. I credit my grandfather for sharing his love of all music. I'm a fan of everything from classical to punk rock. Any thing that moves and inspires me. My experience ranges from large budget fashion and commercial shoots, to common portraits. My goal for Law Photography, is to offer quality at a reasonable price. I've tried to price my services comparable to the local market. I love to create images that speak on their own. I want to capture the beauty that has been overlooked. As a friend once said, I'm trying to capture the "pictorial essence" , whatever the subject. | |
